And this is simply because by doing so it is most likely that in the process they would also loose all the comments that have been made. And I don't think enformable would do that. It’s not like I have been hindered from doing so, it’s got more to do with me. When we are dealing with the Fukushima Disaster in question, and like you know this have now gone on for over a year with little to no effort done by the powers in place to try and stop this. Along came the Fukushima Disaster and things turned ugly, and then even more ugly..\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EIt would be great to be able to write about some good news from time to time, mixing things up a bit but that’s not the case here. When you have been doing this for a while, all the bad starts to wear you down. And you can feel it, in you’re heart. So that’s one of the main reasons I haven’t been able to just sit down and write lately. It gets a bit much. And I don’t like to write just to write something either, I want to put some effort into my posts and I feel that I rather go for quality over quantity.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EBut I have to take my hat of to the few of you who have the strength to write and blog about this every day, believe me it’s not an easy thing to do and I can’t imagine how some of you do it living in Japan, being so close to the disaster and witnessing the effects. My intention have been from the beginning to try and get the Radioactive Chat going and have the blog somewhat in the background for storing valuable information and informing people. \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EI have about 200 of you give or take lurking around here daily so I know all the links and stuff like the Disaster Alert Map is put to good use.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ENow while I’m at it I’m going to tell you something I read about a while ago in the local newspaper about what’s going on in Germany. (Unfortunately I don’t have the paper now so I don’t have the exact numbers but you can confirm this with a simple google search) Like you already should know most of the Nuclear Power Plants in Japan have been shut down and if I’m not mistaken they only have 2 Nuclear Power Plants running at this time. And I also have not read a single line of news about “blackouts” or disturbances in Japan because of this “lack of power”. So the Fukushima disaster have had a huge effect on the Nuclear movement. Germany have said they will also leave Nuclear Power and this have sparked many debates over how it’s impossible for them to do that, other countries complaining they wont be able to sustain their energy needs if they can’t get energy etc..\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWell let me tell you what have been done in Germany already by ordinary people, taking an hour of their time installing solar panels on their homes.. So yeah I know what you think, how much can solar energy help really. But hang on the total solar energy production is much higher, that equals 25 Nuclear Power Plants!!\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E And this is in a country that’s not considered that “warm and sunny” either.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI have no doubt that if every individual would take the time, 1 hour to buy and install solar panels we would not really need Nuclear Power anymore. If we also took time to make use of the wind and the sea we certainly would not need any Nuclear Power at all.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe warranty on a solar panel today is about 25 years, and it will produce power everyday. THe man in charge of the plants made a rare appearance yesterday to apologize\u0026nbsp;for the anxiety and inconvenience caused by the accident. The men working on the Fukushima reactor travel from towns\u0026nbsp;outside the exclusion zone. Our Asian correspondent John Sparks, went to Iwaki City were \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003Ehe spoke to workers who claim\u0026nbsp;conditions are chaotic, training inadequate.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E Here is his special report.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ERocked by the earth and battered by the sea. This is the work of Japans great earthquake and tsunami. The cleanup is\u0026nbsp;well underway and for many here the gloom is begun to lift. But one part of this coastal strip wont submit so easily.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThis was a popular beach a great place to go swimming, but few come here now. Just doesn't feel safe, the treat's not\u0026nbsp;posed by the sea. 24 km down the coast a group of men and women are trying to stabilise the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear\u0026nbsp;Power Plant. \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EAnd it most be the most dangerous work place in the world.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWhen Fukushimas cooling systems failed a series of explosions and reactor meltdowns tore the complex apart. This the\u0026nbsp;worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl. 1000s of workers have been drafted in to secure the plant but they run\u0026nbsp;extrodinary risks.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EJohn Sparks: Tell us what it's like.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EWorker: The conditions are caotic, there are no rules. People who come here for the first time.. Well they must be\u0026nbsp;very troubled.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EWorker 2: I don't know how to describe it, it's just depressing.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EChannel 4 news visited some of the dormitory towns where many of Fukushimas 3000 employees are now staying. \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EThey are\u0026nbsp;forbidden from speaking to the media\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E but a number granted us interviews. \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EDescribing a nightmareish world of high\u0026nbsp;radiation and difficult terrain.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E We hidden their identities.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EWorker: We don't know when things will collapse on us, and the holes and cracks in the ground are terrifying. If you\u0026nbsp;fall through you may brake you're bones. But if it's 20 meters deep, then you die.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe day starts here, at a former football training complex, before workers are bussed into the plant. The majority\u0026nbsp;don't work for TEPCO the facilities owner, but for an estimated 600 subcontractors. And with so many companies on site\u0026nbsp;some say it's impossible to maintain strict safety standards. We tried to ask workers about this, but we were told to\u0026nbsp;leave.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThey are thought how to wear body suits, glowes and masks to protect themself from radiation. But emploees told us\u0026nbsp;their training was inadequate.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EWorker: I got 30 min of safety instruction it's not enough and people come here with no knowlage of the operation.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ECommunication on site is difficult, with about 30 foreign experts in charge of key bits of equipment there's no common\u0026nbsp;language. And their protective masks make it that much thougher. Sometimes workers take them off to speak to each\u0026nbsp;other.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EWorker. Few of us speak English or French so the language barrier is higher than expected. We talk to them through\u0026nbsp;translators but we know we are being exposed to radiation while we do it.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EDoctor Masahiro Kami runs a clinic where plant workers and locals can get medical care, most other doctors have\u0026nbsp;evacuated. \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EHe says many employees hide the amount of radiation they are exposed to by ditching their personal\u0026nbsp;monitors. The reason. If they exeed the limit there is no more work.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EDoctor Masahiro Kami: \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003EThe try to work as long as they can\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E so when they go into dangerous areas they leave their\u0026nbsp;radiation meters behind. The real radiation count is much higher, that's a fact.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWe took doctor Kami's concerns to TEPCO's headquarters.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EJohn Sparks: Do you exept that this practice is taking place.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EMr. Hitosugi: Whether it happens or not I think it is necessary to confirm the matter first. However I do not know\u0026nbsp;anything about this at present.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EIt wasn't easy to hear Mr. Hitosugi who choose the location of our interview, it clashed with a large protest by \u0026nbsp;farmers demanding compensation from TEPCO for crop contamination. Signs of progress, TEPCOS PR department think so.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThey posted this video last night, yet \u003Cb\u003E\u003Cspan class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: red;\"\u003Ethe company is widely misstrusted for withholding information about leaks and\u0026nbsp;accidents. And workers at Fukushima agree, it's standard practice they say.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWorker: I give you an example, contaminated water leaked from the decontamination system, the leak was acknowladge to\u0026nbsp;the press. But the amount was wrong, far more water was spilt.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EOur interviewee is refeering to an incident on July 10 when TEPCO said 50 liters of liquid had been leaked. So we\u0026nbsp;asked Mr. Higosugi about this apparent discrepancy\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EMr. Hitosugi: I cannot remember what happened on July 10, therefor I don't know the exact details of that. Even if\u0026nbsp;water leaked outside, it is our understanding it will cause no damage to the environment.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThere is plenty of work on this chattered coast, but the cleanup at the nuclear plant is different.
