Hello everyone, a dear reader AWe from Costa Rica (Pacific Ocean Side) have just shared with us some of the horrors that she is witnessing first hand here on the Radioactive Chat.

Washing up on the Coast, massive deaths and sickness of the sea life, fishermen and surfers with all sorts of health issues like chronic stomach pain, odd skin rashes & peeling..

I decided it was best for you to hear this in her own words and show you the photos she sent that to me show nothing but massive genetic damage caused by the ongoing Fukushima disaster..

The really sad part about all this to me is that this is genetic damage by radiation that can never be undone. Future generations wont see pretty sand dollars and amazing sea life. At this point in time the sea life is forever damaged, in the future however the sea life and everything affected will most likely be extinct.

AWe: Halloween crabs are growing larger than normal appendages, as are the other species which have one arm bigger than the other. Now I see them so pronounced that the crab just drags it around.

Think about this, if you stand by and do nothing when a crime is committed you would be charged as an accomplice. And even if the main criminal (TEPCO) is not charged or convicted. You could be prosecuted!

The Plutonium Content in Bananas is soon so great that we may soon run our Nuclear Plants on Bananas

Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins is a 24-year-old legislator representing Sitka in the Alaska House of Representatives, and in his newsletter we can read about his "expert" opinions on the Fukushima Radiation Fallout hitting Alaska. Talking to Dr. Ken Buesseler another leading expert on the matter.

Please also take note that Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins was not even born when the Chernobyl Disaster happened, the 100.000 times more Cesium 137 along with Uranium and MOX Fuel Plutonium that the Fukushima Disaster have been emitting and dumping into the Ocean and Atmosphere have never been seen in the history off mankind.

Video showing an Alaskan wild grizzly bear that runs uphill and then suddenly dies from an heart attack was caught on camera at Kodiak Island, Alaska, USA.

There have been many, many reports of strange animal deaths this past year and the most recent one from Alaska is the wild grizzly bear the simply drops dead in it's tracks.


The amounts of Cesium-137 and 134 to name a few radioisotopes from the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster have been so great that we are already seeing massive deaths of animals in both the Pacific Ocean and on the Coasts where radiation have become more concentrated.

To date some 300.000 Tons of radioactive reactor water at about 300-400 tons each day have been flowing into the Pacific Ocean with no end in sight in an desperate attempt to cool the fuel pools and meltdowns.

Cesium in particular is a known cause of heart attacks. Cesium-137 is a potassium analog so it gets absorbed by the body the same way potassium is. Cesium-137 tends to concentrate in the heart muscle and cause heart attacks.


It can't be excluded that this bear died from an virus infection or disease instead of radioactive Cesium stored in it's heart. However the bear did not act in any strange manner before the death either, the bear did not show any such symptoms. It simply got exhausted running up the hill and died on the spot.

Radioisotopes in the Pacific Ocean. What's There? How Much? How Long?

The release of radioisotopes from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear disaster in March 2011 amounts to the largest ever accidental release of radiation into the ocean. The explosions initially released radioisotopes in the form of iodine-131, cesium-134 and cesium-137 from the reactors. All of these Nobel isotopes cause health problems.

In the weeks after Fukushima nuclear disaster, Ken Buesseler a marine chemist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, organized an expedition with scientists from different fields and institutions to investigate radioisotopes from the damaged nuclear plant that ended up in the ocean and marine life. They used nets to sample organisms and instruments to collect more than 1,500 water samples in 30 locations off Japan. Water and biological samples were sent to 16 labs in seven countries to detect levels of a variety of radioisotopes. The concentrations measured in early April 2011 were all the more alarming.

In June 2011, Buesseler led a quickly organized expedition aboard the research vessel Ka' imikai-o-Kanaloa that took a comprehensive look at the fate of the Fukushima radiation both in the open ocean and in marine life. Beginning 600 kilometers offshore and coming within 30 kilometers of the crippled nuclear plant, the research team sailed a sawtooth pattern, gathering water samples from as deep as 1,000 meters, and collecting samples of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and small fish. They also released two dozen drifters to track currents. These instruments move with to ocean currents over months and report their positions via satellite. Like their Japanese colleagues, Buesseler's team measured elevated levels of both cesium-137 and the telltale cesium-134 in the water they collected.

Please also note that the report here have excluded 296.100 tons of radioactive reactor water that have leaked into the Pacific Ocean since this disaster began at the amount of 300-400 tons per day and which continue to leak to this very day.  

 

So 100.000 times more Cesium-137 reported is on the LOW SIDE.

The Ivan Macfadyen's story about him sailing from Melbourne to Osaka on to San Francisco and seeing a dead ocean in horror at the severe lack of marine life have been going viral now. In the 28 days it took to get to Japan, he caught just two fish. No fish. No birds. Hardly a sign of life at all. Several news outlets have picked up the story. But they all seem to have left out the reason.

His boat had a vivid yellow paint job that never faded by sun or sea in years gone past. But now reacted with something in the waters off Japan, losing its sheen in a strange and unprecedented way.

Not likely to be tsunami-related, which would have been transported far from Japan's coast by now.

"After we left Japan, it felt as if the ocean itself was dead," Macfadyen said.

We hardly saw any living things. We saw one whale, sort of rolling helplessly on the surface with what looked like a big tumour on its head. It was pretty sickening.

Macfadyen have now signed up to fill in daily survey forms and collect samples for radiation testing by US academics. Radiation contamination is a significant concern in the wake of the tsunami and consequent nuclear power station failure in Japan.

A Letter to All Young Athletes Who Dream of Coming to Tokyo in 2020, and to Their Coaches and Parents:

On 7 September, 2013 Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said to the 125th session of the International Olympic Committee, the following: Some may have concerns about Fukushima. Let me assure you, the situation is under control. It has never done and will never do any damage to Tokyo.

This will surely be remembered as one of the great lies of modern times. In Japan some people call it the “Abesolute Lie”. Believing it, the IOC decided to bring the 2020 Olympics to Tokyo. Japanese government spokespersons defend Abe’s statement by saying that radiation levels in the Pacific Ocean have not yet exceeded safety standards.

This recalls the old story of the man who jumped off a ten-storey building and, as he passed each storey, could be heard saying, “So far, so good”. We are talking, remember, about the Pacific Ocean – the greatest body of water on earth, and for all we know, in the universe.

Tokyo Electric Power Company – TEPCO – has been pouring water through its melted-down reactor at Fukushima and into the ocean for two and a half years, and so far the Pacific Ocean has been able to dilute that down to below the safety standard. So far so good. But there is no prospect in sight of turning off the water. Here are eight things you need to know.

1.

In a residential area park in Tokyo, 230 km from Fukushima, the soil was found to have a radiation level of 92,335 Becquerels per square meter. This is a dangerous level, comparable to what is found around Chernobyl 4 zone (the site of a nuclear catastrophe in 1986). One reason this level of pollution is found in the capital is that between Tokyo and

Fukushima there are no mountains high enough to block radioactive clouds. In the capital people who understand the danger absolutely avoid eating food produced in eastern Japan.

2.

Inside Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Reactors #1 - #3 the pipes (which had circulated cooling water) are broken, which caused a meltdown. This means the nuclear fuel overheated, melted, and continued to melt anything it touched. Thus it melted through the bottom of the reactor, and then through the concrete floor of the building, and sank into the ground. As mentioned above, for two and a half years TEPCO workers have been desperately pouring water into the reactor, but it is not known whether the water is actually reaching the melted fuel.

If a middle-strength earthquake comes, it is likely to destroy totally the already damaged building. And as a matter of fact, in the last two and a half years earthquakes have continued to hit Fukushima. (And as an additional matter of fact, just as this letter was being written Fukushima was hit by another middle-strength earthquake, but it seems that the building held up one more time.So far so good.) Especially dangerous is Reactor #4, where a large amount of nuclear fuel is being held in a pool, like another disaster waiting for its moment.

The cooling water being poured into the reactor is now considered the big problem in Japan. Newspapers and TV stations that previously strove to conceal the danger of nuclear power, are now reporting on this danger every day, and criticizing Shinzo Abe for the lie he told the IOC. The issue is that the highly irradiated and contaminated radioactive water is entering and mixing with the ground water, and this leakage can’t be stopped, so it is spilling into the outer ocean. It is a situation impossible to control.

In August, 2013 (the month prior to Abe’s IOC speech) within the site of Fukushima Daiichi Reactor, radiation was measured at 8500 micro Sieverts per hour. That is enough to kill anyone who stayed there for a month. This makes it a very hard place for the workers to get anything done.

In Ohkuma-machi, the town where the Daiichi Nuclear Reactor is located, the radiation was measured in July, 2013 (two months before Abe’stalk) at 320 micro Sieverts per hour. This level of radiation would kill a person in two and a half years. Thus, over an area many kilometers wide, ghost towns are increasing.

Dead Whale In Tokyo Bay after Fukushima

For the sake of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, an important fact has been left out from reports that go abroad. Only the fact that irradiated water is leaking onto the surface of the ground around the reactor is reported.

But deep under the surface the ground water is also being irradiated, and the ground water flows out to sea and mixes with the seawater through fresh water springs under the sea. It is too late to do anything about this.

If you go to the big central fish market near Tokyo and measure the radiation in the air, it registers at about 0.05 micro Sieverts – a little higher than normal level. But if you measure the radiation near the place where the instrument that measures the radiation of the fish is located, the level is two or three times greater (2013 measurement).

Vegetables and fish from around the Tokyo area, even if they are irradiated, are not thrown away. This is because the level established by the Japanese Government for permissible radiation in food – which if exceeded the food must not be sold – is the same as the permissible level of radiation in low-level radioactive wastes. Which is to say, in Japan today, as the entire country has been contaminated, we have no choice but to put irradiated garbage on the dinner table. The distribution of irradiated food is also a problem.

Food from near Fukushima will be sent to another prefecture, and then sent on, relabeled as produced in the second prefecture. In particular, food distributed by the major food companies, and food served in expensive restaurants, is almost never tested for radiation.

In Japan, the only radiation from Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Reactors that is being measured is the radioactive cesium. However large amounts of strontium 90 and tritium are spreading all over Japan. Strontium and tritium’s radiation consists of beta rays, and are very difficult to measure. However both are extremely dangerous: strontium can cause leukemia, and tritium can cause chromosome disorder.

More dangerous still: in order, they say, to get rid of the pollution that has fallen over the wide area of Eastern Japan, they are scraping off the top layer of the soil, and putting it in plastic bags as garbage. Great mountains of these plastic bags, all weather-beaten, are sitting in fields in Eastern Japan subject of course to attack by heavy rain and typhoons. Eventually the plastic will split open and the contents will come spilling out. When that happens, there will be no place left to take them.

On 21 September, 2013 (again, as this letter was being composed) the newspaper Tokyo Shimbun reported that Tokyo Governor Naoki Inose said at a press conference that what Abe expressed to the IOC was his intention to get the situation under control. “It is not,” Inose said, “under control now.”

It’s a sad story, but this is the present situation of Japan and of Tokyo. I had loved the Japanese food and this land until the Fukushima accident occurred. But now…

I had a closer look at the food label today on a can of tuna fish bought from the local store and I was expecting it to say something different than what I found. I normally check and see the label to find out where the tuna I bought was caught, but sometimes labels only specify where the food was packed.

However knowing it was packed near the Mediterranean Sea usually means that the tuna also was caught in that area or the Atlantic Ocean. Either way it's a safeguard against knowing if you are eating poison (radioactive poison that is).

Now reading food labels are a great way to know what you are actually eating but what I read today was pretty much a bunch of numbers or "area codes". The specific text on the label was something like caught in FAO Area 71,77,87. That didn't tell me much. So I had to investigate closer to find out what it means.

Well FAO is short for "Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations" and they have a list of the Major FAO fishing areas. So turns out my tuna was caught in the Pacific Ocean.. Too bad I had to throw it all away. The areas you need to stay away from are 61, 67, 71, 77 and 87 marked in red.

I know some people still believe the studies done to check Fukushima contamination in the Pacific Ocean showing the contamination in fish to not be that bad. We have all seen the maps of ocean currents and videos how the spread of fallout measuring theoretical radiation contamination in the sea and air. And there are many people that really still think that the radiation is hardly noticed.
But there is one thing with all those studies done that show the situation is far more severe than depicted by the figures. ALL STUDIES done have been built on LIES and FALSE DATA. TEPCO have been lying since day 1 of this disaster and have been feeding false data to the institutions and scientists working on these studies. Most radiation contamination maps only show the release of fallout in the air and water during a period of about 10 DAYS. 

But the truth is and TEPCO have ADMITTED THEY LIED ABOUT THE DISASTER AND DATA AND HAVE DONE SO FOR 2 YEARS. This disaster have now gone on for more than 2 years and the radioactive releases are still going on. Contaminated water is still being pumped out into the Ocean and fish on theWest Coast of the USA are turning to goo. YES that's right fish turning literally to goo.

But the worst part is that the biologists and many, many scientists that have found alarming rates of radiation have been covering for TEPCO too along with politicians. Or lets say the Nuclear community. If they come out with the information they loose their jobs, funding or whatever little project they cling on to.

The truth is, if you take any study done about the Fukushima disaster and take the result and multiply the figures by 60 or 100 times you will be much more closer to the truth. And that my friends is a very good reason to stay away from any fish caught in the Pacific Ocean.

The ground under Fukushima could turn liquid if another M7.0 earthquake hit the region due to the already massive amounts of water being pumped into the site. If that happens, all those buildings with their spent fuel pools would come tumbling down, the spent nuclear fuel would go critical and it would be all over when more than 300 tons of nuclear fuel go up in smoke all at once.

The corium molten nuclear fuel that have breached the containment long ago now have no problem moving in the soft earth and is going even further down into earth giving humanity no chance at stopping the contamination of the Pacific Ocean.

TEPCO finally said a week ago "we need world help".. Well it's a bit late for that, about 2 and a half years too late..

The Fukushima nuclear power plant is built on loose sand and gravel, eventually it will turn to mush and sink.

Citing his own work and saying that the Mahayan Buddhists, an ecumenical Japanese form of Buddhism, have an eerily similar end-of-the-world prophecy that mirrors the very apocalyptic scenario echoed by Shimatsu, he added, “The earth will end at a time of ultimate corruption of man, when the earth is covered by molten iron, molten metal. So, this is strange that there is an actual possibility of an ancient prophecy being fulfilled. The end of the world could actually be fulfilled.

That is very deeply disturbing theological and philosophical perspective. This might be a self-fulfilling prophecy by ‘these mad men’ in the nuclear establishment.”
